Captain James Cook Wax Relief Portrait Plaque. Housed in an oval gilt frame with suspension hook.

Captain James Cook FRS (1728 – 1779) was a British explorer, cartographer and naval officer famous for his three voyages between 1768 and 1779 in the Pacific Ocean and to New Zealand and Australia in HMS Endeavour.

Signed to the rear as limited edition number 6 of 30 by D P Hopkins and dated 1976.

In excellent condition with no losses.

Approximate weight is 116 grams.

Approximate dimensions are 15.5 cm length, 12.5 cm width and 2 cm depth.
